Saving Banksy in theatres January 20th, 2017
Saving Banksy is the true story of one misguided art collector’s attempt to save a painting by infamous British street artist Banksy from destruction and the auction block. It asks the question, ‘What would you do if you woke up one morning and found a million dollar Banksy spray-painted on the side of your building?’
The film’s distributor Parade Deck Films will donate 10% of all Portland screenings ticket sales to PSU’s Film Program. Parade Deck Film’s President is Michael Ingram, current PSU Film Major, so get out there and support a fellow student and independent film!
The film plays at Cinema 21 January 20-26, 2017, and if you can’t get out to those the Hollywood Theatre will be showing it January 29, 2017.
Saving Banksy was directed by Colin M. Day with narration by Paul Polycarpou, and features interviews with top street and graffiti artists from across the globe, including Ben Eine, Risk, Revok, Niels ‘Shoe’ Meulman, Blek Le Rat, Anthony Lister, Doze Green, Hera and Glen E Friedman.
