Dr. Drew Beard published his essay, “Horror movies at home: Supernatural horror, delivery systems, and 1980s Satanic Panic,” in Horror Studies 6.2 (October 2015).

Dr. Amy E. Borden presented “Before Motion Picture World: Movies in Gilded Age American Magazines” at the conference Turning the Page: Digitization, Movie Magazines, and Historical Audience Studies, hosted by the Network of Researchers: Movies, Magazines and Audiences at the University of Ghent, Belgium.

Courtney Hermann’s short documentary will be featured at the Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center from February 11 – June 19, 2016, in conjunction with the traveling exhibit Uprooted: Japanese American Farm Labor Camps During World War II

Dr. Kristin Lené Hole published her book, Towards a Feminist Cinematic Ethics: Claire Denis, Emmanuel Levinas and Jean-Luc Nancy, Edinburgh University Press.

Matt McCormick will host a work-in-progress screening of his film Buzz One Four at the Hollywood Theatre on March 20th. His film, The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal, is part of the Urban Abstract exhibition at the Mini Galerie in Amsterdam, which opened January 29th

Dustin Morrow screened films in the Experimental Superstars Film Festival in Novi Sad, Serbia; the Lilliputian Film Festival in St. Louis; Visionaria in  Sienna, Italy; and the Bibeodromo International Experimental Film and Video Festival in Bilbao, Spain.
