Videographer Needed for Portland State Opera

We are hoping to find a student to video our upcoming opera productions.

Gourmet Menu: The PSU Opera program presents two one-act operas.
George Bizet’s “Doctor Miracle,” written when he was 18, is a hilarious one-act
operetta featuring the “Omelet Quartet.” The food theme continues with “Bon
Appétit,” a short opera in which Julia Child (played by Christine Meadows, director of
opera) teaches the recipe for a classic French chocolate cake – Le Gâteau au Chocolat
L’Éminence Brune. Bonus: after the show, audience members get to eat the cake!

Performances December 9-12 at 7:30pm and December 13 at 2pm
Lincoln Hall Studio Theater

We would like to make copies of the video of these performances for our records, for performers to keep and to post one on YouTube so that we can enter the National Opera Association Opera Production Competition.

We would like a film student to videotape an entire performance of each one act opera.
Doctor Miracle is 55 minutes in length. Bon Appetìt is 18 minutes.
This project will give a film student the opportunity to video tape a live opera performance.

We may be able to compensate the student, although it has not been in our budget to this point. We certainly would find a way to reimburse for any expenses. And would like to know what those might be ahead of time.
I am unsure of what will be needed. I am assuming a camera, microphones and tripod would be necessary.
