Production Opportunity

The name of your company/organization:  Zooppa

The title of your proposed project: I Want to Be Recycled

A detailed description of your project:

Every day, the average American generates 4.4 pounds of trash, which is 1,600 pounds annually. Keep America Beautiful and the Ad Council have partnered to educate Americans to recycle more, educate them on how to recycle right and help them to make recycling a part of everyday life. In 2013, the “I Want to Be Recycled” public service advertising (PSA) campaign was launched to provide simple and helpful tools that inform where and how to recycle.

This contest challenges participants to illustrate the importance of recycling in their own voice through either a beauty lens, myth busters angle or community story. The winners of the contest will be announced in early July 2015 with a $25,000 cash prize awarded to the winners. The final videos will be reviewed by campaign partners from the Ad Council, Keep America Beautiful and the award-winning advertising agency Pereira & O’Dell. The videos will be promoted and shared through Keep America Beautiful and the Ad Council communications and social channels.

It is your mission to convince the viewer to recycle in a new and/or entertaining way in a 30-120 second video fit for social media. We want you to show us how we can educate people to “Give Your Garbage Another Life” in a meaningful way.
