The School of Art + Design at Portland State University will host a public lecture by Naima Lowe, a Queer, African-American artist, filmmaker, and educator based in Olympia, Washington where she teaches at The Evergreen State College. Lowe’s work reaches across media boundaries, as it draws from film, performance, and written work, exploring questions of identity and history. In this lecture, Lowe will discuss her work and perform from her nationally celebrated book, 39 Questions for White People.
Presented with support from the President’s Diversity Grant, the School of Theater & Film, the School of Art + Design, and the PSU Queer Resource Center.
